( the best book on Standard Schnauzers I have come across,

Missy and I recently spent an afternoon with
Ron and Lesley Mannion
Albrecht Kennels,
McGeorge Road, Gisborne, Victoria.
There were sixteen schnauzers there that day. Elan
and Schatzi (two of Missy's friends), Delwyn and Gigolo who were boarding
for the weekend, and Otis and Sasha who also came visit.Plus
Ron and Lesley's own dogs; Griffin, Mira, Hansi, Helga, Anka, and Crystal
- plus four six-week-old puppies from Crytal's last litter. Missy was the
only one who still has her tail.
Ron and Lesley love schnauzers. They show at least one of their dogs almost
every weekend.
Ron says: 'The thing I love best about them is their intelligence, their
liveliness, and their responsiveness. And they have the sweetest temperaments.'
There's no problem at moulting time with hair all over the furniture and
your best suit because schnauzers don't moult. They need to be stripped
and clipped if they are "show dogs" but as a family pet Missy
gets clipped into shape about every two months.
